WedCam ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we look after it.
What we collect
Your name, your partner's name, email address, phone number, wedding date, venue, and shipping address
Your answers to our booking form questions
Messages and contact details you send us through Instagram or other social platforms
Payment details, which are handled directly by Stripe and never stored by us
Your wedding footage and finished film
Basic website analytics such as pages visited and device type
How we use it
To fulfil your booking, including shipping your kit where one is included.
To create and deliver your film.
To contact you about your order.
To send marketing emails, if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe any time.
To improve our website and services.
We don't sell your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We use third party services to run WedCam, and your information passes through some of them:
Squarespace (website and orders)
Stripe (payments)
Klaviyo (email)
ManyChat (Instagram messaging)
Dropbox (footage transfer)
Australia Post and couriers (shipping)
Meta (advertising, where you've engaged with our ads)
Each of these has its own privacy policy. Some of our suppliers are based outside Australia, so your information may be stored or accessed overseas.
Your footage and film
Footage filmed on our camcorders may be used in short excerpts across our website, social media, and advertising.
Footage you supply yourself is used for your edit only.
We may delete any footage at any time from 3 months after your film is delivered, so please keep your own copy of everything.
We may keep final films indefinitely, but we don't guarantee it. Please download and back up your film.
If you'd prefer we didn't use your footage or film for marketing, just let us know and we'll keep yours private.
If you tag us or send us content, we may share it on our social media with credit. Let us know any time if you'd like it taken down.
How long we keep your information
Order and contact records are kept for 7 years to meet Australian tax and record keeping requirements. Any footage may be deleted from 3 months after delivery. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure storage and limited access. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your information. Email us at hello@wedcam.com.au and we'll sort it out.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to keep the site working and to understand how visitors use it. You can turn cookies off in your browser, though some parts of the site may not work properly.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on our website.
